🔥The Great Resignation has set the job market on fire, and candidates are in the driver's seat. Unfortunately, recruiters are finding that candidates are less engaged, and many are missing interviews or ghosting employers.
It is a small world, and you want to represent your brand (You Inc.) professionally. Even if the job opportunity isn't right for you, be aware of how you decline, as you never know where the future may lead. To be a standout candidate during The Great Resignation: ✨Ensure your LinkedIn profile is up-to-date with keywords that have employers search for you. ✨When you receive a call for an interview, respond. Even if you have found another job, let the recruiter know. ✨Do not miss your interview. Candidates are skipping interviews and not showing up. This goes for phone, Zoom and in-person interviews. If you are no longer interested, cancel the interview in advance. ✨Choose to work for leaders that believe in you and see your potential. ✨Ask about your career opportunities and growth during the interview. Find out where your career path could lead. ✨Have market value salary expectations for your experience level. It's not about who offers you the largest salary. ✨If you are asked if you are in another interview process, be honest and transparent. You don't have to give details, but sharing that you are actively in the market is completely reasonable and understandable. Comments are closed.
